Co-founder of Video Tradie

My best mate lives in Melbourne and he isn’t very savvy when it comes to DIY projects and fixing things around the house. Once, his tap handle fell off and his shower was no longer functional. Over Facetime, I talked him through how to put it back on and secure it in place.

A little while later, after having used a doctor consult service using a video call on a mobile application, that I thought… you know, this could work for Tradies too! There is plenty of people out there like my mate that need a little guidance and direction to fix simple things around the house, assistance with urgent repairs, or to work through a particular DIY problem they may have come across. They might not necessarily need an actual Tradie on-site but just a push in the right direction or to gather information while they wait for a Tradie to become available.

I teamed up with Mr Craig Badcock, renowned accountant and business advisor in the local region and over many months we developed what would be the business model, functionality, and user interface of Video Tradie.

Now with just a click of a button and for as little as $35 a Video Tradie can be at your service to give you instant and handy advice to guide you through your DIY project.

Your Video Tradie can give you advice prior to your ‘real life’ Tradie showing up, so you have more information and know what questions to ask.

Or if you’re having trouble finding a real life Tradie locally, we’re always here for you. And just think, you can save a Tradie’s call out fee by gaining the right advice through your Video Tradie first!

We hope that you find Video Tradie as useful as we intended and that you find value in our app.
